looking for a good HO t5 light

I had a HO t5 light ordered at light your reptiles http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/trblhot524qu1.html but the lights are on backorder for unforeseeable future so can anyone tell me where I can get a light that will be good for a 24-24-48 screen cage and I want to have mostly all live plants .

And two of these reflectors and you will just need a UV bulb. The units come with 6500k daylight bulbs.

Another good place to find T5HO fixtures is in aquarium lighting. Especially fresh water aquarium fixtures.

I actually purchased this:

It puts out enough lumens at 6,500k where it grows my hibuscus indoors with no problems. Its even blooming flowers!

Obviously it doesn't put out UVB, but thats why you also get a 2L T5HO fixture

Here is a good T5HO fixture, but you would need to replace the one lamp with a UVB lamp, and keep the 6000k for plant growth

I believe LYR has a lot of products on back order right now but if you can wait a little longer I recommend getting your lighting from Todd. If that isn't possible, I would look into what others suggested and just purchase a UVB bulb for the other fixture. I recommend getting a T5 Arcadia UVB bulb, I know LYR has those in stock!

I know Todd is a great guy. He is the one that told me to look around because he is in limbo and does not know when it will be in so I will get my light somewhere else and buy the bulbs from him

He is extremely picky on his ballasts. Even if he finds another supplier he will do alot of testing before shipping any new models out.

That Light is WAY overpriced for what you are getting. I use these over all of my Chams and have used them for planted aquariums as well. I LOVE them. Just replace one of the bulbs with a UVB bulb and you are set. It even has a built in timer. I simply don't use the night time blue LED's.

Oh, and the best part is that they are SUPER INEXPENSIVE for what you are getting.

does the acrylic splash guard remove easily or did i read wrong that acrylic blocks uvb and i take it most cham friendly bulbs fit right it

The splash guard slides right out, and you are correct about acrylic blocking UV. I use reptisun 22" bulbs, but the LYR bulbs will fit easily as well.

Awesome definitely like that light setup more i have alot of real plants that need alot of light and this will do the job much better and I love how the timer is built in
