cars in the shop so i rode my bike to the pet shop in 90 degree weather (5 minutes away) like a forest gump to get my new addition.

Meet __________ (i will name him later) the Ficshers Chameleon.
he is doing so well, so much better than he was at the shop. he was so thirsty that when i got home, i gave him some fresh air (it was alot cooler out) and poked a pin hole in a bottle of water, he was so thirsty he licked water droplets off my hand. cuttest thing., but yes

comment guys, and if anyone can tell what kind of ficshers this is, that be awsome. the store labled him a standard two horned, and i know there are quite a few different species, so if one or all could absolute and determin this, thatd be great.

also i have everything for proper husbandry, but may someone fill me on the perfect bask temp? i belive it is about 78-80? just clarify me.

hes doing awsome and drank like a champ. his slight sunken eyes are already gone!

Congrats on your new addition! He seems very skinny to me, you can see his hip bones! Has he eaten for you yet? What were they feeding him at the pet store? Is he WC? Hope he does well for you!

yes he does look skinny. they just feed him crickets (thumbs down) i just realy wanted to give the guy a home :( . he hasnt eaten for me yet, i offered him some calcium dusted crickets, but he just ran away from the cup lol. my main concern was thirsting this guy, and he has drank like a champ right off the bat. i am going to offer him some wax worms, supers and crickets tommorrow, it is just lights out time, so i want him to get a good sleep. i will also be getting a fecal first thing on monday. yes he is wc, they store claims all of their herps are CB, but its clear the exotics arent. so thats why a fecal is nessecary. since i dont know the age, i chose the smaller one.

also, he MAY just be starting a shead too. i noticed some light skin spots on his tail, and he has also been rubbing just face on a vine and the leaves, now that he has some proper humidity. i will also be feeding him everyday for the next week or so, because he is a male and acclimating as well.

We do have some fischeri keepers on here but I am not one of them, send a pm to Seeco. In Petr Necas Book, he said them not to exceed 86 during the day with a drop at night. Also he recommends humidity of 50 - 70% during the day and slightly higher at night. Hope this helps some. If I can look up any thing else just pm me. Best of luck.

k that is very doable, thats what i had it at yesterday. im glad humidity can start at 50% and up. i can do 3 mistings a day with a dripper untill i can afford a system.

By the way.. i've named him Thomas! is it a keeper?:D

harry from chroma could probably give you some great info on these guys. one thing he mentioned to me about keeping them is to really be weary of oversupplimenting. looks awesome! id like to have one one day
