I found an african blue-tailed skink in my backyard.

Does anyone know If they r an invasive species in Florida?

We have them everywhere here in tx I dont think they are african they probably are from the u.s. I have litteraly seen hundreds of those little boogers running around all over the place

I think there are many diff plestiodon species in the us. That one is most likely native.

Here is a pic of one a found online that is an African blue tailed skink, they are identical.

They look the same to me

I used to live in FL and catch those all the time, when you find a bigger one u will notice they loose most there color and the blue in its tail is gone.
