A lot of good chameleon dining in the garden today.:D

Lucky, I have a mini forest in my backyard and all we have are brown recluses, daddy long legs, moths, and tiny baby tree frogs. Animals though we have deer, bunnies, moles, geckos, etc.

funny you would mention that Motherlode, a week ago my noseybe was on our planted fius and spotted a tiny white spider, before i could move, he snatched it in a second....i dont mind feeding "safe" spiders and pesticide free BUT i didnt know what exactly the kind of spider he snatched...im relieved no problems came afterwards

Not funny at all if the chameleon gets bit. One big reason I would recommend staying away from bee's and spiders even though chameleons would make a meal out of them in the wild/captivity. The most extreme I would go is feeding a mantis even though they are quite formidable.

true i never gave bees and never will, and havent had that a spider bite occur, "knock on wood" it doesnt... but is a spider bite still troublesome even from a non-venomous spider? or are all spiders have venom to a degree? im curious so that i be more cautious

Thanks! This new houses location is turning out to be surprisingly good for feeder insects. I did not think it would come close to the ranch house. Still is not as great a spot as the ranch house however all and all its not to shabby.:D

Haa yess...One cannot complain if you find Hoppers and Mantids in the same garden!! :)

The other day my dad found a mantid in the back yard. I had bought ooths a few months ago, hatched them, and released them in the back yard. I had originally raised them to get eaten by my chams, but after seeing them hatch and run around like little kittens, I didn't have the heart to feed them off.

Needless to say, I was quite surprised.
