Loki, my Jackson's has passed

Just writing to say that my Jackson's cham Loki is dead. While on vacation in Costa Rica, I had a friend caring for him (who has before, for the same length of time).

He passed away about a week in, and I'm still unsure of why.

I trained her and from what she told me, she was doing everything as I do when I'm home, the temperatures during were normal in the upper-seventies, he was eating and drinking...

She just came in one morning and he was gripping onto the lowest dowel (about 4" off the ground of his terrarium) displaying patterns and colors I have never seen before in him or any chameleon. He was dark brown with extremely dark greens in a crazy dotty swirly pattern. I don't have a picture.

So, if anyone out there cared, he's gone.
I had Loki for 11 and a half months, and he was about a year and a half old.

I'm really sorry to hear about Loki. How hard that must be, to not be there. You have my sincere sympathies.

Awe that is sad. I am sure your friend did everything right. Maybe he was just sick and you didn't know it. That is always my greatest fear that something will happen to my animals while I am gone. Sorry for your loss.

Very sorry for your loss I had to leave after a week of owning mine and I was terrified. I'm sure your friend did everything just fine...though that doesn't change anything. RIP Loki...
