im going to chicago for the NARBC show in march to get my first veiled chameleon. and i saw lll reptile was vending there and wondered are they reliable for a chameleon, has anybody on the forums got theres from there?:confused::confused::confused:

i got a jacksons from them before, came very healthy, altho he was pretty mad for about two weeks cuz he was shipped cross country :p

I got my Ernie from them Nov 23rd He is doing great & LLL did a great job of getting the sex correct... he was tiny when I got him. I posted latest pics of him yesterday in "Ernie chillin free range style" You can go to my profile and see my threads on him;)

Count me in on the Reptile show too. I will take the train from Milwaukee. I hate driving in Chicago.Who ever goes we should hook up! We can have a CF groupie day:D Where is this show going to be?

Reliable from the store...a bit iffy at the show. That's my offer. I'd look carefully at the caging. The time I bought from them, they had an armload of chameleons in one cage. I asked about a female fischer's. The guy pulled one out of the mass, told me it would be fine to put her in the same cage as my male fischer's.

Okay, I was stupid...but obviously, nothing about that was "good".

If the chameleon you're interested in is properly housed at the show, I'd say do it. They are really good about most things.

Would a vendor really haul a bunch of reptiles all the way across the country To sell a few? Doesnt make sence to me:confused: Ive never been to a reptile show before, Do alot of people go? I guess i will find out

LLL goes to about every major show in the country. They are always at the show I fly down to in Daytona Beach, FL. They own a semi.:)

regardless of who you buy from, inspect the animal, inquire in detail about its upbringing/history/care, check the BOI, do your due dilligence, and dont let price be your deciding factor

If your looking for a particular locale of panther or for a rare species I would say look for a breeder that specializes in what your interested in. If you are just looking to get a panther or veiled and dont care about sex or coloration then LLL is a good fit for you. Thats why we have the lg scale stores and the small independents so ppl can go with the best fit for them and what they are into. Personally, I want to know the chams lineage that im buying so i go directly to the breeder or importer if Im looking for wc bloodlines.

Totally fair. To be really fair though - we are a "breeder" now as well for a ton of species including translucent veileds. :) We have thousands of square feet in a new monster breeding facility - and it is all top of the line stuff. Very exciting upcoming 2012 for us! However - our "regular" baby veileds are not bred by us. We go through waaay to many to produce enough ourselves. That being said - our current breeder is awesome, and the babies we offer do better than any breeder we have dealt with in about 8 years (going back to Garrick DeMeyer who produced the nicest normal baby veileds until he decided ball pythons, crested geckos and leopard geckos were better... Thanks Garrick :)

Stop by the booth when you are at the show - we will take care of you. And if you remember - check our facebook before the show - there may be a coupon for that show posted on our facebook page. facebook.com/LLLReptile . Thanks and see ya soon!

the dreadful moment you realize the person your talking ish on is standing right behind you

i like lll, theyre okay, but like someone said they dont specialize in chams.

however if youre not going to go through a purely cham breeder, lll is one of those companies that you should.

I didnt talk any crap about them. What i stated I still stand behind. They are a good fit for "some" folks. But I still wouldnt go thru LLL if I were looking to start a breeding project on a rare paradalis locale. They dont normally carry breeder quality pardalis. In fact Scott just stated they produce Veileds he didnt say anythng about pardalis/panthers.

TPM - totally agree. I didn't think you were talking negative. I thought you were just sharing. No biggi at all. We don't breed panthers. Our panthers come from arguably the best panther breeder in the US. We are just under contract not to share breeder names. When they sell "retail" - we don't want to step on their toes :) No harm - no foul Tex! Take care
