I want to put live plants in my cham tank. I already have a planted crested gecko tank, but in that tank all the plants are actually planted in 6 inches of dirt on top of 3 inches of drainage rock. I've been reading chams shouldn't really have substrate in their tank and my cage doesn't have a bottom that I can fill anyway.
Is it okay to just leave the plants in pots? Do I need to do something special other then repot with organic soil? Do I need to cover the dirt on top with something?
