Lawn shrimp ‘Arcitalitrus sylvaticus’ another potential CuC for bioactives

So these are a type of terrestrial amphipod (crustacean). They spring around and feed on similar things as isopods. Almost a year ago I bought a small cup for my crab tank and figured they died off. Well I was tidying up my crab tank, moving around soil and noticed them everywhere in the lower layers. They look like very tiny shrimp. So I’m really liking the idea of these as a CuC since they tend to occupy the damp lower substrate. These parts easily get compacted, so hopefully they will do a decent job at aerating the areas that most of the other critters don’t make it to. Plan is to add them to my Cham bio active now. Only downside might be, I’m not sure how well they handle substrate that isn’t fairly damp. The lower layers of my crab tank fill with water a bit from the drainage so this makes an ideal enclosure for them, I’ll keep everyone posted on how they do in a Cham bio.
