since i got my vieled yesterday ive been going to several different home depots and loews and a few mom and pop nurseries looking for a ficus plant for my reptibreeze but either the store clerk has never heard of it or the other store clerk says that its a late summer plant and wont be available until mid to lat august. So my question is instead of going down the line of this "safe" plant guide from flchams.com with the clerk at the nursery, can someone with a green thumb please let me know what other tree or vertical growing plant is safe to keep in my reptibreeze 18x18x36

fyi I already have a red bromelia and an orange hibiscus (which is around 24" tall) and an 8" blue Campanula plant, (very nice looking but not sure if its the same as the one on the list or if i spelled it wrong), im just looking for something to replace the hibiscus because ppl are tellimg me that its not an indoor plant so i have to replace it.

I have a plant from the dracaena family. and I really like it because it has hardy "stalks" kind of like bamboo. My Cham likes to climb around on it
Dracaena Godseffiana.
and it grows up

let me know, I can take a pic of it and post

I like dragon trees too, look cool as with chameleons

Check with the local nurseries and most of them are able to order exactly what you want - Walmart occasionally carries them too. You can always get a Pothos plant - they are available everywhere and will grow prolifically and they are cham safe - I've used them in just about every setup I've had and when they get to big you can clip them off with no issues at all to the plant in most cases. I used different size branches to weave the plant through, and they are plenty strong enough to hold Panthers.
*** Make sure that you thoroughly wash any plants you get from anywhere - especially any retail stores- if you are going to leave them in pots from nurseries take them outside and wash the pots down too - but I suggest repotting them in new/clean pots.***

yes ive already repotted and resoiled both the hibiscus and the camponella. about the pothos, since its a hanging plant i dont know how to do so since i have a reptibreeze cage with very small mesh holes and i dont want to rip it up to try to hang the pot from?
As oer that "dragon" plant yes please any pics would be greatly appreciated before i go out and order one. thank you

Pothos will grow just as well in a pot that is on the floor of the cage, and you can set your dripper to splash on the leaves and water the plant at the same time - this is a tried and true method - I have used these in both fabric mesh enclosures as well as metal screen enclosures.

Schefflera arboricola is a good choice (umbrella plant). Very common in my local nurseries, whereas I have yet to see a ficus tree. I order ficus benjamina online.
