ok so my cham shed his first time for me today (only 4 months old)...took all of 15 mins...pretty cool
my question is hes not gonna be small forever, when do i have to worry about the whole sperm plug and such?
do i even need to worry if theres no female around?
are there any issues with these plugs getting"stuck" inside...impaction?

I saw a plug on my guy at around 7 months. From my understanding that is around the time most chams reach sexual maturity. I don't think you should have anything to worry about in regards to any smegma. Sex is instinctual, he will figure it out. I have seen plugs and even my guys hemi penis out on display (which really freaked me the f&*k out)

I don't think a plug can cause impaction but I am not 100% on that.

Na, sperm plugs aren't anything to worry about. More than not they'll just drop down and you'll have something besides poop to clean from the cage that day. And veeeery rarely it might not drop and will dry still attached to his hemipene, so you just gently pull it out. It doesn't hurt them at all.

My oldest panther is 10 months old and he's still getting them, but it's not something I lose sleep over.
