Linear Bulbs

I was just wondering if you can use the linear Exo Terra Repti Glo 5.0
Tropical Terrarium Lamp just like the ZooMed ReptiSun 5.0 or does it give off to much UVB. Thanks

I would not use it, repti sun 5.0 is much better, and safer, and you really want your cham to be at the best of health, so I would just go with what the experts reccomend. Hope this helps.

Zoomed reptisun is the best and they last a year before they need to be replaced. All other similar bulbs need replaced after six months.

Correct. Use the reptisun. LLL reptile is going to be your cheapest source. They are also a site sponsor.

Repti Sun 5.0 Linear or bust.

If you don't have a UV meter, you are better off playing it safe with what is known to work. That is my logic at least.

Repti Glo 5.0 is fine to use. Only thing is they need to be replaced sooner than Repti Sun causing you to spend more money on bulbs.

I have a ReptiSun 5.0 for my female veiled, but I'm getting a 2 month old high orange male veiled in a couple of days and I'm very impatient and can't wait a whole week for it to be shipped from California to Ohio and my pet store only carries Repti Glo 5.0. But I'll end up buying it from LLL Reptile, so I don't know why I'm complaining about It. Man I hate myself. Thanks for the info.
