dropped off first fecal she has Eimeria. (SP) Doc says controversial treatment in this. Don't know the numbers but he wants to see her-How scared should I be?

Did your Vet give you anything to treat your Cham for it? I believe it is a form of coccidiosis parasite and should be treatable if my memory serves me correct?

I believe that is a broad term that covers coccidia, here is an old thread that might help. Also pm Jannb as she has had to treat luie for coccidia, she will help you get lily cleared up. I am sorry you got such crappy news.

Thanks! I pulled out the old structure that was in her old cage. She did poo in the new cage. I have tiles covering the dirt -(left over from my beardies) it landed on a tile and no where else. Took out that tile tossed it and put a new one in.

so as of right now no poop in the new cage, going at 2pm today to the vet. Do I have to throw everything away that is in that new cage she slept in it. has not been fed in it since fed her yesterday and the only poo was removed.

From reading the articles you linked me to once medicated, and I keep taking the poo out I should be okay with new cage or did I read wrong again thanks- so sorry to interrupt your vacation

You will need to wash everything at least once a week with 40 volume peroxide the kind you buy at a beauty supply store. They tend to wipe their butts on vines and branches. So you have to clean everything. Cocodfia is highly contagious. Your dragons may have it. I think they have a little of it normally and if Lilly came into contact with something of theirs she could have caught it from them. If she's loaded with it then she's had it for awhile. If everythings not cleaned properly they can reinfect. I cleaned and cleaned and my guy still reinfected a couple months after checking clean.

Don't let your vet give you Albon for treatment. It is very hard on chameleons and will make them stop eating.

Thanks- the Beardies came out clean dropped off everyones.

I know he does not like that medication at all- getting ready to go see him now fingers crossed.

Vet visit was encouraging-Heart, lungs all good weight 79 grams. Spunky little girl. Not gravid as of yesterday. Just the pesky parasites.

ALbon was not even mentioned. :) On Baycox

Medication went well- in her not on her :) the beardies poop tested clean :)

Everyone ate well too! Not a bad day.

Okay this is it! Did the medication and dropped off fecal today fingers crossed for a clean report.
Constancy totally different from the first one I dropped off and no smell. First one was gross which kind of clued me there was an issue.

okay my toes are crossed too! Will get the report tomorrow.

Lily's Test Results! No abnormal findings NO FURTHER TREATMENT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME :D:D:D

Thank you Baycox!!!!!!!!!!!!
