I have a month old maybe month and a half old panther chameleon I have with the female from same clutch in a big tote. when the lights go out after 12 hours 10-10 he goes crazy looking for a spot to sleep I guess. I have a 18x18x36 screen cage for him and a large ficus that I cleaned with antibacterial sop and rinsed well 3 times. I'm thinking about putting him in there now to split them up and give him a bigger place to roam around. he has no problem finding food I have him on fruit flies and small crickets with some extra small silk worms comin on Monday. he is a lot bigger than she is. would this be a bad thing to do? he drinks and hunts fine id like to split them up soon anyway. any negatives to this I am going to put something in the bottom to make sure if he fall witch he hasn't in 3 weeks yet he will be safe.

Definitely separate them for 100% of the out of each other's sight, unless you are trying to breed. I don't have an absolute accurate answer for why he goes turbo, but I guarantee it will stop if you separate them.

Yeah I'm going to finish that cage tomorrow and put it up for him. I think he just needs more room to roam and wear himself out during the day. 10 4 I'll get him all set up tomorrow and get them separated

Yeah they eat like crazy probably my favorite animal I have ever owned. Just can't wait till their colors come in excited to see what a ambilobe nosey be mix will turn out like

Yeah he seems fine finding food he seems a little timid right now but I think he will get use to it

Yeah I will in a few mins. I think he just needs to get use to it. He ate about 20 fruit flies today and a cricket or 2.he's been drinking. Temps ate 85 at the top and the bottom is 75 so he cam regulate and I don't cook him cuz he's do small. I have to wait till summer comes around to get 2 hibiscus because I don't really like the ficus because I had to trim it down and that sap is nasty. The little girl I stop have in the tub had come out of hiding now that he is gone

that's the cage I have him in he seems to be settling in I just think it will take him a bit I have a piece of tarp over the front so he can settle in without seeing me walking around

great! you have been doing amazing with them this whole time! I can't wait to see them when they are bigger!

me either I'm super excited. thank you I'm trying. he started getting more comfortable and roaming around checking out his new surrounding. I have 2 large pothos I hanging baskets coming this week ill just have to wash and repot them and he should love them. the ones I have are to small right now so I had to fid large ones to order. as soon as the lights went out he went right to sleep so hopefully it stays that way.
