Lights and heat

Right now on my 11 month onld Panther i use a regular 75w light bulb, uva/b tube, and a 150w ceramic heat emitter. Need to boost the temp a little. Is a regular reptile basking light best for that. Maybe i can do that instead of the regular light??

Ideas or tips??

I think a regular incandescent bulb will be fine just bump up the wattage the higher the wattage the more heat it troughs out. What are your temps a 75 watt bulb, and a 150 watt heat emitter should through off plenty of heat. Personally unless your heat emitter is right under your basking area with your basking light I wouldn't even use it. Chams only recognize heat with a light source.

I'm not sure about this but it may be that an infrared heat emitter is more efficient in HEAT transmission than a incandescent light bulb

I want a basking spot 90-100 degrees correct? With the temp gauge I have on top of the cage near the hear emitter it was only about 80. Is there gauges that are safe to put in the cage for a more accurate temp read?
