I just ordered a 48X24X24 cage for my veiled cham. I was wondering if I need to get a 18 or 24 inch uvb bulb? 5.0 or 10.0? Also will be using a 60 watt housebulb for basking? Any advice on this would be great!
As far as the bulb, make sure you have a thermometer to gauge the temp at the basking spot. Sometimes 40W may suffice, sometimes you may need higher, like your 60W.

I'm rather new too, but it seems a lot of people use the 10.0 with that bigger cage. Just make sure you have enough shade towards the bottom of the cage where the cham can get out of the light if it wants.
