I bought a 48 inch t8 light fixture from lowes and also bought a 48 inch reptisun 5.0 t8 light bulb for it. I put reptisun light in fixture and wouldnt work,installed another regular bulb in and it turn on. Anyone else have a regular t8 light fixture running a t8 light bulb? Dont know if the light won't work for fixture or if the bulb is broken inside

It’s most likely the bulb is broke I’d return it and ry again

an other vote for bulb broke. T8's dont have variants, they all run the same voltage, just the energy miser bulbs use less current. Now you can snucker yourself with T5's, because they come with different bulb voltages, so you can blow T5 bulbs in a T5HO fixture.
