Light questions

Hey everyone, I was told in another post to remove my infrared heat bulb and use a normal incandescent 60w bulb. My first question is since it is normal light, can I safely house is in this http://m.petco.com/product/9469/Flukers-Clamp-Lamps.aspx (I have the 150 watt size) because it does say I can use it but I want to see if other people have used it. I have an outlet timer on my UVB light and I wondered if I can also use an outlet timer on that light? Thanks

You should be fine using the new light bulb in that fitting. All my heating and lighting is plugged into one timer so it all goes on and off at the same times each day.

Yea,
you should replace it with the 60 or 75 watt regular bulb depending on how big your cage is.
It is what you should do today. :D;)

The visible light will attract them to bask more than "red" light.

And if your house is above ... say...68 at night, then you do not need a red heat light at nit either.

Yes, you can put a double outlet into the light timer and put both lights on it no problem.:)

Cheers!

I changed the light bulb and the little guy turned more green and less grey :) the cage is 2x2x4 feet tall
