OK, i noticed that my vine was getting to be pretty far away from the uvb. Prolly about a foot, and it is a 5.0 bulb. So, i moved it so it is about 6 inches away now. Is that ok or should it be farther away?? Because now when he stands on it he is about 3-4 inches away from it.

If you have a infrared thermometer, check the Chams skin while basking. If you don't have an infrared, put a lower vine/branch and let the Cham choose his basking temperature.

5.0 bulb should reach 12 inches down from the light. If you have a UV meter you can check the area.

If you have a linear 5.0 UV bulb, that would be fine. As mentioned, new bulbs reach down about a foot and as the bulbs get older, the beneficial UV rays don't go as far.
You don't need to worry about the bulb burning him as those bulbs depending on the length, only put out between 15 and 30 watts.
