Ok so I have been noticing that my male 4 year old veil chameleon has been pretty lazy the past couple day's
I didn't pay much attention but yesterday I noticed he was shutting his eyes? I did some research so i went to petco and picked up some crickets and worms for him thinking he was just hungry he does not want to eat at all

I went back to petco and picked up a powersun uv 100w bulb and some calcium suppliment and pretty much have to force feed him to eat and drink

I have always taken care of my buddy and i just don't know what else to do but he seems a little better please help me thank you!!!!

That cage does not look like it is an xl ReptiBreeze. What are its measurements? An adult male Veiled chameleon really needs to be in a 24"x24"x48" screen enclosure. Also, the Sunpower may be too powerful. What are the basking and ambient temperatures? If you do not have a temperature gauge, you really need to get one so you can accurately measure and monitor the temperatures. If your cham is too hot or too cold, it can become sluggish/lethargic. If he is too hot he can become dehydrated. Since he is sleeping in the pics it is hard to tell if his eyes are sunken in. If his eyes are sunken in when he wakes up in the morning, it is a clear sign that he is dehydrated. He would benefit from two good mistings a day. A humidity gauge is important. Are you using a UVB light as well? It's important to have basking light and a separate UVB light to provide for the needs of your chameleon. Good luck and please keep us posted.

Yes I just switched to the 100w sun power today. I read it online.that it may help. I usually use a 90w blue bulb from petco and the big long lite reptiles sun 5.0 uvb the cage is a 36 x 18 x 18

My tempature gauge broke but I will get one tomorrow and return the sun power light

I don't want to see my chameleon suffer anymore if I don't get help soon I think I might just have to take him out of his misery please help

Take him to a vet if you think he's in that bad of shape. It's difficult for us to determine what's wrong just by looking at pictures. Have you only ever used calcium without d3? Has he been getting vitamins? How often do you change his UVB lighting? We may be able to help you further if you give us more details on your husbandry, but you know your chameleon better than anyone here. If you see a change in his behaviour, see a vet.

He just keeps closing his eyes

U will need a fecal test, cause the crickets can carry a lot of parasite especially from a big chain store which they dont even gutloaded their crickets with proper nutrition that suitable for chameleon needs.
So find a fresh laid poop after u make ur appointment with a chameleon specialist vet n bring that poop within 1to 2hr or less, and let the vet do some test n see if it needs any medication for ur cham.

So you don't dust at all with vitamins or calcium with d3? How do you gutload your feeders? The proper supplementation schedule is as follows:

Calcium WITHOUT d3 at every feeding
Calcium WITH d3 every two weeks
Multivitamin every two weeks (not same time as cal with d3)

If you haven't been using a multivitamin or properly gutloading your feeders, he is likely missing lot of essential elements to a healthy life.
