Let her bite me?

Im not sure since Im pulling my hand away each time. She might just head slap me. '

The branch thing has not worked for me either..

I know it's hard to do, because it's a natural reflex, but you don't what to jerk you hand away. That tells her she has scared you off, and will continue doing it.
She will not hurt you even if she does bite down on some skin, but jerking away then may cause injury to her.

I used to pull away too, until I just let them bite me, to find out what it felt like. It didn't hurt, just like getting pinched with a paper clamp.

It's the fear of the unknown that makes you pull back in a reflex action.

Once you know what to expect, it's easy to not have that "knee jerk" reaction.

Here is how I get my shy ones out of their cage:

Get a small tree/plant, with sturdy limbs and position it level with the top of the cage.
Open the cage and get one of those fake, twisty jungle vines and twist one end to her basking branch and the other end
to the tree/plant.
She will eventually get curious and use the twisty vine to climb to the plant.
She may not want to do this if she knows you are watching.
Just back away and wait for her to come out.
