Unfortunately the damage is done so it will always have a scar there,I will suggest making sure not let the damage part get infected,perhaps a vet visit just to be sure there is no secondary infection.

A scar I think we can cope with I just wanted to be sure there was no immediate threat to his health., thanks for your comment

Its my pleasure to suggest some of my thoughts....Is he drinking n eating fine?does he still rub his chin on that damage part,if he is rubbing on his wound,I will highly recommend to go see a chameleon specialist vet,since the wound wont heal correctly especially he is rubbing on it,always got to make sure there is no secondary bacteria infection on that wound,the vet can prescribe some topical cream for ur chamies to help healing that wound correctly.
