I think my chameleon got a bite from a cricket it ate?

So I was checking my baby veiled chameleon's temp and humidity for the night and he likes to sleep at the top of his cage. So I looked at him and accidentally woke him up and i noticed the side of his mouth wasn't closed properly. This is what it looks like. His mouth was fine yesterday. Should I just keep and eye on it? Will it heal on its own or do I go to a vet?

That looks a bit like mouth rot to me which can happen from bug bites. It will require a vet to treat.
