Leaf Bugs?

That's a katydid and it would be fine to feed as long as you are absolutely certain it has not been exposed to pesticides.

Katydid! thats it. I was racking my brain trying to remember what in the world they were called. Thanks Brad

Katydids appear so big and juicyXD. Making them good feeders.
What are there nutritional levels?

I would think it would be pretty high based on their diet.
If you are able to capture some ... I would feed them a lot of washed dark leafy greens or let them feed off of a clean rose or hibiscus plant for 2 or three days before feeding them off.
The other great thing about this insect as a feeder is their color.
Chameleons LOOOOOVE green food.
If you don't believe me, try it and see how excited they get about prey that is green.

I found 2 mowing my lawn a few weekends ago. I quarentened em for a few days and rinsed em off, etc...

They both lasted about .5 seconds in the cage. I have yet to see anything else my cham has been so excited about. He saw me carying them over from like 10 ft away... ran to the door and was prepping to fire before I even had the door all the way open.
