Layla is now starring in her own movie on YouTube. I discovered last week that my digital camera takes movies too. Not just phone camera type movies, but pretty good quality movies. So I got a 15 minute video of Layla outside eating. What I thought was going to be just a simple edited short clip ended up being a production of sorts. I got the Roxio Creator 9 software which is pretty cool. My little movie looks great on my Roxio program and on my Windows Media Player.

I'm really disappointed in the quality after loading it onto YouTube though. Roxio lets you upload to YouTube in a vast variety of video formats. I've tried a bunch of them, including the format YouTube says it prefers. Anyway, they all come up blurry on YouTube. I've played around with this project for three days now. I've decided to just share it even though I'm disappointed with the quality on YouTube.

If any video experts on the forum can tell me how to get my Roxio quality production to come through clear on YouTube I will love and appreciate you forever. This process has been extremely frustrating for me. Layla should look her best:)

Great video. I love the music..nice choice.

The quality looks like typical Youtube video. May not be able to change that.
 
Absolutley wonderful background for a video!! Layla is one fine Melleri says my boy Asmar! She can come visit him anytime!

Layla and I thank you for the compliments. It will be much more fun doing another one now that I've figured out a few things. It's still frustrating about the quality on YouTube. I've got the Adobe DreamWeaver software and Adobe Flash software on my computer already. I've been thinking of setting up my own webpage just to host videos with Flash. I bet I could get better quality videos doing that. That's probably more work than I want to do though.

Layla, Knopfler and Imperiata have some new playmates coming this week. I hope to make a movie someday about Layla and her process of "dating".

I'm am addicted.....

I am addicted Pure.........I have two smaller sub-adults from Mike at FL Chams and two larger sub-adults from Rolland at Outback Reptiles coming. Layla came from Outback. The only pictures I've posted for Layla are in her blog I'm doing her for her. There are a couple of pictures of Knopfler and Imperiata somewhere in a post in the Melleri forum. Imperiata is very small. I didn't think she was going to make it when I got her almost two months ago. This might sound stupid, but I'm afraid posting photos will jinx her doing well. She is slowly growing and has done a full shed. Knopfler is a pissy one. I'm not handling him much. Layla has settled in the best so that's why she gets the attention photo and video wise. I guess it's good that the video is blurry on YouTube. She is getting ready to shed in some places. After that is done I will do more pictures. You need to post more pictures too Pure. Yours are gorgeous!!!!!
 
The first part of dealing with a problem is admitting there is one..ah hell who am I kidding..This is a great "problem" to have!

I understand the whole jinx thing. But please don't make us wait after her 90 days. :D

Eh, I'm not too pic happy ATM. My pics are OK at best. Due to the crap point and click I'm having to use. My good Camera is being replaced..spend over 500 bucks on a digi and you would think it could at least take 1 fall. Dang thing wasn't even done being paid for.....*grumbles*

So is the digital camera being repaired or is it toast? I hope you get video capability somehow. I'd like to see your Melleri feeding or interacting. Have you seen the Gesang's slapfest video? It's somewhere in the Melleri forum posts. It's pretty funny. It's my dream to capture male/female interaction like they have.
 
I would imagine replaced. I really don't know I just got around to sending it back to the MFR last Friday. It's been broke since the Gator bowl. Yeah it has video.

Really they don't interact much. They both kinda keep to themselves. Today Feruzi did go all bumblebee on Lumbwi when he came down to eat. But so far no slapping or much of anything. I really get the feeling that the 90 day acclimation for true behavior to show is true.

I love Gesangs video. I hope I can get something half as interesting as that.

Are you not keeping any of your guys together?
 
Update....

I've been busy taking care of the new Melleri and other stuff for a few days. Pure.......where does your user name come from?........To answer your question....I've got everyone separated during quarantine. Imperiata would make a good snack for Layla anyway. I got the four new Melleri in. They are each beautiful in different ways. I will start a new thread on them soon. My friend Royden from the forum is coming over Sunday to do a photo shoot. He might do a couple of them. He has specific things he wants to get like the Uthmoelleri. When he photographs my stuff he does his own threads and keeps the photos as his own, as he should. So they might pop up under a thread he does before I get to it. It's going to make for some interesting videos later. I've got a couple of fiesty Melleri :)
