Laying under the UVB after eating?

So she does this very often and I'm wondering if its normal or not. She will go down eat some of her crickets (gut-loaded with carrots), then she will climb back up under her UVB light and lay there. Then when I mist her she will get a little agitated and then realize she is thirsty and bolt out of hiding and begin licking the leaves. Thats basically her daily routine and I'm just wondering if its normal. From what I read its good for their digestion to bask after eating to gain proper nutrition. My chameleon is a baby and I've had her 4 days. :)

Sounds pretty normal to me. FYI, you will want to add more ingredients to your insects' diet...just using carrots isn't enough. Check the cham care section under the forum Resources tab for more info on gutloading.
