I have watched the videos and looked at threads on laying bins. I feel it would be very helpful to have more detailed information on setting up laying bins. There is not just ONE way to do this as everyone knows. It would be fantastic if those of you who have succesfully done this could share your experience with others. I am not talking about general information but very detailed descriptions with information like bin size, type of soil, sand or other mixtures and materials used. Detailed with ratio's of what was used, how the water content was determined, what humidity was acheived, how they were maintained during incubation and at what temps. The more details the better!!! Pictures of the process from start to finish would also be helpful. I am aware this is not an easy task but feel if it was done well and then put on the breeding site as a link it would benefit so many here. I am sure I have missed alot of the information already here but if I have missed it how many others have also??? Years ago ( 15-20 ) many used ( Including me ) sand, soil and vermiculite with varied success. I care to much for the chams in my care now to leave anything to chance that I could have avoided by having this kind of detailed information. I will contact some of the members here who have been so helpful to me recently to get the information I need but what about those that do not have the relationships with others to do this? Sorry for the long post but I hope it will turn into a beneficial source for others. Until and if this becomes a reality I also welcome suggestions as I am now in the need to set up bins for my girls.
Thank's to all of you who have been so helpful to me and so many others in our love and enjoyment of keeping our chams healthy and well cared for !!!!!
