hey Decadancin. my name is troy and i am new to the chameleon world. I have reason to believe that my female veiled may be pregnant but im not sure. she is displaying behaviors for the past week such as : climbing up and down her terrarium all day long, going to the same spot at the bottom for a few minutes and then immediately climbing back up, and gravid colors. She is quite fat also. I placed an 11 inch tall bucket in her cage filled with about 7 inches of damp organic soil. The problem is she wont go in the bucket!? does it take awhile for them to recognize the bucket & soil as a place to lay eggs? im stuck here... some feedback would be greatly appreciated. thank youThat should work.
I would suggest having a vine or branch leading into the bin. How old is she? Could you post a picture of her? Did she mate or is it just egg development you are concerned with? If she is ready and has eggs you will want to give her privacy so she can feel secure and explore her options.

Thanks for the feedback alphakenc. Maybe the reason she is overweight is because of too much superworms? I bought some fresh greens ; collard greens dandelion greens, apples and mangoes. I'm going to gutload her crickets with this mixture. Just to change her diet . is this correct? And what so you use to gutload? Standard syringes? From the picture u post, she is not in the gravid color, the gravid female veiled will look like thisView attachment 172945
