Laying bin

I just went to Home Depot to get some sand for my lay bin. Only problem is idk which one lol the "washed play sand" says not to use in taraniums so I wasn't sure if this was safe since I think they bleach it to get that sand color. Then there is the natural sand which is more of a yellow color. Any help on which sand to buy?

I live a couple blocks from the ocean in New Jersey....could I just use beach sand?
I would not there's a lot of chemicals in this dirty dirty ocean that we live in. Get a 50 pound bag of play sand it's really cheap at Like Home Depot or Lowe's

Right but that goes back to my original question. Washed play sand or natural. The guy at Home Depot said the washed play sand is bleached to make it that color. I was nervous that would be dangerous

Just rinse it and make sure the peat moss is natural

i just used organic dirt and washed play sand from home depot in a 20 gal can last week mix in 3/4 dirt 1/25 sand and half gal water. about 12 inches deep dug a hand length starter hole and put one stick and a fake plant. cover top with wind screen and a bungie cord around it put the combo lamp
on top and a cup with ice and holes in bottom to drop
water.

she had ignored a bin in her cage for 4 days dug but never lay. she dug 2 days in that hole all the way to bottom corner and laid after 2 days and went to the branch
she slept the 1st night in the hole i watched on a camera i would guess she never laid u til she had enuff depth in the big can
so advise is either dig the starter hole deeper or use a little less dirt she worked hard digging that deep

Sometimes they just dig and dig. I've had one for doing it for about 3 days they won't stop until they think it's perfect on some of them. But then I've had some that just went and deposited them on top of the plant soil
