Laying Bin

So its recommended to keep a laying bin in the enclosure at all times once your chameleon has reached a certain age. My questions are, how do you keep the sand from becoming sopping wet? And since I have a drainage system on the bottom how could I avoid it from being distrusted by the bin? And couldn't the crickets burrow themselves in it?

Yes, It is recommended to keep a laying bin in the enclosure at all times after they reach 4 to 5 months old so that you don't miss the subtle signs that they need to lay. Just point the mister head and dripper away from the laying bin. I've never heard of the crickets burrowing in the laying bin sand. A few blogs you might find helpful.
