Layin Bin

so i have been told to use half sand and half organic soil this may be a dumb question but do i mix it together

Yes you got it. Try to make it moist but not wet. I added water a little at a time while i was mixing. Like mixing sandy cake batter. lol

I just use a large plastic storage bin - something like this:

I made a frame with a screen to put over the top when it is being used and then I just put the lid back on to store.

I also make sure to put a 60 watt basking lamp shining into the bucket when the rep is laying

So how did you know she was ready to be removed from her encloserand put in the bin I thought you had to put the bin in the encloser

Here is a good thread on knowing when she is ready to lay. Also, my girl was wandering around the bottom of her enclosure (which she never does),

Not necessary. Others may have different opinions though.
