I haven't, but as long as the bottom of the lattice doesn't sit in water constantly both would last quite a while if you water seal them. I have used lattices of different types to keep my chams from climbing the screen and damaging their claws. The diameter of the wood should be small enough for the cham to wrap most of its toe around. Especially for the bamboo...bamboo is slick and very hard, so claws won't have much purchase on their own.
