Knobbly Turrets!

I just LOVE the knobbly eye turrets on Jackson chams! Veileds seem to have rather uniform scalation, whereas Jacksons are more 'knobbly' looking! Here's a pic of Monty's knobbly turret!

I think they're called pinnacle scales, but I may be wrong. Here's the turrets on our adult WC Jacksonii Jacksonii. I had't noticed the pinnacle scales, either, until I was out in the sun with him taking photos long ago. And once I saw them I had to take a close up, just like you did.
