Here is the male I received a few days ago. I am very pleased with the shape I got him in. This guy is very skittish spending most of the time buried in the plants. It looks like he will be almost impossible to photograph without being all pissed off and stressed like the rest of my Kinyongia species. At the moment he is a nice gree/blue color with some cool red, orange and yellows through out. As you can see he was not happy about being photographed. After I snagged a few quick ones he dropped to the ground in an attempt to get away. You can see him in the corner of the pic that I snapped of his enclosure. Needless to say he wont be bothered again until he is fully acclimated. Anyway, here are the pics.

Enjoy!! It will be a while before you see him again:p

That's a great looking guy you have there.. Hopefully the females come in just as nice !! Good luck ! :D

Go with a bigger cage with more plants to compensate for that overly skittish behavior.

Nice pictures!

How do you know what size the enclosure is? Also, look at how small he is compared to the enclosure (he is in the bottom left rear corner in last photo). Anyway, great photos Jared! Hopefully both of ours do well, can't wait for my guy's rostral appendage to get like yours. How large is he?

How do you know what size the enclosure is? Sometimes a huge amount of room makes an animal even more skittish, at least from my experience. He mentioned the size of the cage last night in the lounge and I have kept this species before and the bigger the cage with more plants seems to calm their nerves..

Good info, I'll consider that if mine seems to get even more anxious. He's been relatively calm when I'm in the room compared to other Kinyongia species I have/had, but we'll see.

Thanks guys!!

Dan, he has to be full grown. If I had to guess I woulds say somewhere around 6 inches snout to vent. However I am not good at judging size without a ruler:rolleyes:

He is in a 16x16x30 enclosure and as you can see it is well planted. I have not seen any screen climbing or darker colors on him (until the camera got in the cage). He is usually hiding out in the middle of the plants besides in the morning when he goes up to bask. I appreciate the input very much but at this point I will not stress him with a cage change unless I see him climbing all over the screen or trying to find an escape route out of the cage. I do, however, have a larger cage not being occupied in case he seems to need a larger one.
