Kinyongia Boehmei - Breeding Project Log

My completely uneducated guess is 5 girls, 2 boys šŸ˜…
Ha! Love the guess!

Both the male and female are thriving still. It’s amazing how much of their enclosure they use. They are a very active chameleon, if people like to sit and observe, this is a fantastic species to do that with. They use every inch of the 18x22x48ā€ enclosure, and do many, many laps throughout the day.

Good evening, my name is Eduardo . It's been many years since I've shared anything on a forum. I'd forgotten how wonderful it is to read and learn from others' experiences. For over 15 years, I've worked with the three most common chameleon species. I'd been hesitant to get into mountain species, but about a month ago, I decided to acquire four KB. Unfortunately, they died, but I fell in love with them to the point of leaving all my other animals just to set the reptile room to the right temperatures for the KB and other species with similar requirements. This Wednesday, I acquired two more females and a male, and they're doing great so far. They're wild-caught, which I don't entirely like.

Today I found a one female on the ground. It was dark, and without thinking, I picked her up to see if she was dying. She quickly became active, and I noticed her abdomen was empty. Sure enough, she had laid her eggs—seven beautiful, white eggs.

I think the second female is also pregnant. We'll see if everything goes well, but this post has helped me and I hope it continues to help me in the process. I'm glad I came here and read every message, and I hope your process continues just as well. After so many years, thanks to this species, I feel motivated again, like I did 20 years ago when I studied every forum to be able to keep chameleons.

Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of the process, and after so many years away from the forums, I don't know if it's correct to upload photos here or if it's better to create a new chat to inform you and request your guidance and support.

I apologize for the length of my message, but I'm really excited.
