Sounds like he has something stuck in it?
Did he shed recently?

Even if he didnt there could stil be something thre.
try getting some plain saline and putting a drop in the eye. see how it does.

any crusties on it? oozing?

I have never seen my veilds actually shed... just a piece of skin here and there. I did try a drop of saline but still not opening it. Of coase I could not put the drop in it as he keeps it shut and only only opens it when he choses not me. :) I too am wondering if something might be in it... tiny piece or wood from stick or even if he might have poked it. No crusting or oozing. Just want to keep it shut.

Thanks for any input and help... just mommy that wants to make sure I am doing what I can to help him.
