Keeping one eye closed

No, thats a new light im trying.i bought a new bigger cage for him and am running the reptisun 5.0 CFL he was under a powersun 100 before.. what i don't understand is this all just happened after he shed//

His eyes look a little bit better today... He's been keeping them open
Most the day.. I'm thinking it was the light. I raised it even higher

Glad he seems to be better today! I will have to keep that in mind since i use the same light, although my guy has been in there a few days with no issues so far....knock on wood...but you never know. Maybe a shedding issue to though? How long did you have the light before you noticed the issue?

Around the same time he started to shed... You know there's a burn in period, where your suppose to keep the light 9 to 12inches from them... mine was in the back of the cage and about 8 inches.. i talked to the people from zoomed and they use that light with a lot of their chams... they mount them horizontally like yours.I don't know how you can keep it 12 inches from the cham like that... you'd have to mount the basking perch far down the cage....

Hmmm, I need to look into what the burn in period is. I ran it for a few days prior to getting him.

OK, he's still keeping the left eye closed, and was rubbing it on the perch yesterday... a friend who also keeps chams said he uses Neosporin... he said i should rub some the outside lid... has anyone else used that??
