camimom New Member Sep 11, 2012 #2 outside is always best for them! as long as temps dont get too hot, and the cham has cooler/shady spots to go to if he gets hot, and he gets misted alot. its ok.

W woahamie New Member Sep 11, 2012 #3 Great! Should I have to worry about bugs and stuff? Like it getting bit buy something?
camimom New Member Sep 11, 2012 #4 i dont think bit so much as what the cham eats. some bugs outside, like lady bugs, are toxic. others, can cause injuries, like bees if the cham eats it and gets stung in the mouth.

If you keep your chameleon in a screen cage outside there shouldn't be any wasps that can fly in. Do be careful of fireants. They can be attracted to a dead cricket on the floor of the cage and infest the cage. other than that... i been keeping chams outside for many years with success... I do bring them all in in the winter when the temps get below 50
