Whats the best plant i can get for my 8 Month old male Ambilobe Panther chameleon? will a plant also supply a lot of extra branches and vines? or should in invest in more vines????

ohhh and also, what is the best way to make sure Rockos full colors show? Has Rockos colors not fully developed at the age of only 7 months??

:) Thnx looking forward to some feedback! :)

Goldon Pothos are great plants that have vines, they are relatively cheap compared to fake vines i bought a plant for $10 at lowes

it depends on what plant you buy as far as how viney or full of branches it will be. I prefer the ficus or sheffelera plants. Their branches are relatively sturdy to hold their weight. Pothos are good for natural vines. As far as colors not all are the same and some color up quicker than others. There is nothing you can really do to accelerate the process. They will color when they color! Getting them out in the sunshine may help bring out some colors while outside. I would say by about a year your cham should have some pretty nice coloring. I have a 3 yr old Sambava and just recently he is showing crazy colors like he never has before. He is colorful even when he is resting.

yeah Rocko also gets colorful when he is resting. his stripes really contrast and his tail becomes orange. i should post a picture up soon

I didn't mean sleeping, if that is what you thought I meant by resting. Most chameleons show off some of their best colors at night while sleeping. Normally when they are resting during the day, just laying on a branch or whatever their colors are kinda subdued. Lately my one chameleon is just a crazy burst of colors even when chilling out. I can't explain it, but I love it!!!

If you get the book "Complete Guide for the Chameleon Enthusiast" (or google it) theres a list of good plants that aren't toxic for chams.
