I just LOVE the forums , it seems every day I hear of a new name, I had no idea there were soooo many kinds of chams- just how many are there ? every time I see a new name- I go Google it , to put a "face with the name" kind of thing - I just looked up the F. minor- yet another stunning animal - I love the little spots :D
I was just curios as to how many there are :) ty

The last time I saw a figure I believe it was something like 150-160 species that are known to science at this time.

You're welcome! And it seems like we find at least one new species a year, so the figure will keep growing as long as we don't just mow down the forests to grow coffee or bananas.

yes, we need to take care of them- I went to the rain forest( Ecuador, and Galapagos Islands )12 yrs ago for about a mo. just to see it before it is gone (and saw no little pygmy chams - L:mad:L )

I sure don't know the answer to that.....but what a trip that must have been, my husbands best friend of 45 years moved to Ecuador about 4 months ago and we hope to go visit and take a trip to the Galapagos Islands.
