Just how delicate are these chams?

This has not happened and God forbid that it ever will, but how bad can a fall be, of say 2,3,4 or even 7 feet be for these guys?....I know my veiled likes to explore when he is in his free range and sometimes he is on a surface that is flat and slick, I'm so scared he will slip off and hit the floor.

They are pretty resilient. I have had one fall about 4 feet in free range. I watched him like a hawk to see if anything was wrong and nothing

Chams are designed to fall from any height onto a grass or leafy ground. Its part of their defense mech. Spook any carpet cham and watch them just let go and then scurry off when they hit bottom.

However chams will get hurt if they drop on something solid like wood/cement/tile. Carpet is fine from my observations from 5-6ft falls. I regulary have water dragons and bearded dragons want to get from the top of the cage to the floor for food, and just jump...
Ive lots of chams fall from shoulder and elbow height on to carpet and are just fine. Im alittle worried about dropping the adults just due to the weight. As they say; a mouse will fall and run a way, a rat will break, and a horse will splash.
