Just got a new chameleon!

I just got my little male veiled today and I am super happy to have the little one around! Gave him some water as soon as he got here and offered food but he doesn't want any. He looks like he is about to go into shed as well. When will he start eating for me? I know he's stressed from the travel so I'm not too concerned with him not eating right away.

This is him. He's just at 3 months old and the oranges he has are starting to come through.

Congrats on the new guy! He's pretty big if he is in fact 3 months old.

It really depends on the individual, he may eat later today or he may not touch food for a few days. But as long as he's settling in and drinking there's nothing to worry about for now.

My panther ate the second he left the box, my veiled did not eat until the next day. I leave my alone the first day or two except to mist or offer food (I know it is hard!). :)

I'm very pleased with him and how well he is doing. He has very pretty oranges down his sides (just can't see it right now because he's going into shed)
I bough him from a very reputable breeder that I have purchased animals from before and I have always been thoroughly satisfied with the health of every single one of his animals. He sent me a picture of one of his clutch mates that hatched a day before him and he is about 2-3 inches larger than the one I purchased. I'm very pleased with how he likes to be handled already. I went to hand water him earlier and when he was done with his drink he started crawling onto my hand. As soon as I got him out of the bag he climbed on my hand immediately and sat there while I misted his enclosure before I put him in.

wow he's a good size for 3 months old! I love the yellows on veileds and love their attitudes, so feisty lol

Uh, are you sure he's 3 months? I've had my Piccolo for five months and he looks to be about the same size as yours (hard to tell the actual size in your pics) and I didn't raise him from a baby. He was about 4 months when I got him.

Wow he is big! I agree with the above members, he is a big boy if he is 3 months. Congrats though on him, he is very pretty!

Congrats on your new acquisition. I just got a 2-month old and your 3-month old could eat my little guy as a snack. Yours looks more comparable in size to my 8-month old.
