How many panther cham owners are within 2 hours of either Ocean County, NJ or Centre County, PA?
I live mainly in Ocean county, but also go to school @ Penn State in Centre county (sometimes). Right now I'm at Ocean County College in NJ to save $$$, but I plan to be out @ Penn in the future too. I will probably be between these areas most of my life since mine & my husband's families live in these counties.
I have a ~10 month old male ambilobe panther cham and he is my first chameleon and so the start of my enthusiasm. I'm always thinking ahead and I know that I want to stud him out someday, while careful of all risks, and keep one or two of the babies for myself. When he's gone someday I would love to have jr around. lol. I've also noticed differences in his coloring compared to other ambilobe chams which makes me excited about breeding him. I am also just interested in how many other owners are around too.
I would want to stay local, have a written agreement, and have both owners present since I could never trust anyone else fully with my lil boy and wouldn't want to be responsible for someone else's lil girl.
I know chams are much more popular in all year round warm climates like Florida and Cali so, I'm just curious as to how many owners are in these areas and how many of those who answer would ever even POSSIBLY be interested in having my lil guy as a stud. I won't hold anyone to it, I promise. I'm not like that. lol.
I am a very open minded person btw and very honest, so I would share any and all health concerns with whomever I would wind up discussing breeding with.
So, if you live in or near either of these areas and have a panther cham just post a reply and share about him or her (I love hearing about them) and if you have a female panther cham that you'd ever even consider breeding let me know, just for future reference.
So, here is my lil guy...
This is Spectrum (or Specky or Spectro). He was supposed to be a BB ambilobe, but turned out more blue bodied, red barred. He is a lil over 10 months now and I purchased him from Jim @ The Chameleon Company. He was sired by Bonaroo. From what I've seen of past chams sired by Bonaroo he certainly turned out different and for many reasons his vets & I believe that he may have some genetic mutation giving him his cool coloring (I have experience with genetics btw). He is extremely friendly and LOVES attention, doesn't even puff in front of a mirror, has never gone to the bathroom on anyone or bitten anyone. He's very sweet.
I'll add more & better colored photos later today, I have to be @ work in ten so, gotta run...!
Keep in mind I'm just curious. I always plan way too far ahead, but it always works out well so... lol
