Starting about last summer I have not been handling my crested gecko alot. He sometimes urinates on me when I try to handle him. How do I fix this? And also what is the proper way to handle a crested gecko?

Mine both used to do that, one more than the other. I made a point of not putting them back right after they had done it as I thought it was a 'put me back' stunt! They seem to have grown out of it as they have been handled more (my female was pet store bought and as a result not handled and she is VERY fast and skittish!) Having said that she has got me twice this last week, lol! I prefer being peed on to being bitten though - they both went through a phase of nipping too. Another thing they thankfully seem to have grown ut of cos it would hurt now they are adults!

Reading those status' made my entire day to be honest Tiff. :b Today is the day I get a mystery reptile (assuming a Crested Gecko since that is what I had asked for. c: I will make a mental not to wear gloves when handling. :b

Starting spring break I will start handling him alot more. I know I can get him tame again as when I first got him he was like this but I handled him alot and he calmed down.

Oh, I did get my very first itty bitty Crested Gecko. c: Named him Arnold and Arnie for short. :3 They are amazing creatures. I love the tail and their sticky little feet! Tiff! I finally got myself a crestie.
