There may be a point where I can catch my cham in action doing this so I can get a video up for everyone to see exactly what I'm talking about...
Ender has been doing this thing since I got him--he walks around the cage normally and has been able to catch his food and everything but sometimes when he's "sneaking" up on something (so it seems), he does this weird jerking motion (more or less back and forth) when he walks.
I've been looking into this and apparently it's a sign of moderate MBD. He misses his food every now and then, but I would expect that of any chameleon, just like any other reptile misses their food sometimes.
The main reason I'm concerned about it is because the last two days, he's been sitting on branches just holding his mouth open for about 10 second intervals. His cage is at a normal temp and humidity... What is going on??
I feel like this could all just be the way he is and he's going to do it for the rest of his life, but if it really is MBD, then of course I'll do all I can to remedy it!
