Though I'm not a chameleon expert whatsoever, I'd say go for it. After having my panthers I plan to move on to Jacksons. I think they are really really cool, and the fact that they don't need as big of a cage as say veiled or panthers is pretty nice, at least for me since I'm a little constrained on space. My first second third and fourth chameleons were all jackson's. I highly recomend them. They tolerate handling better than any of the other chams that i have. High humidity is the hardest part with these guys. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them.

That's a damn nice chameleon you have there. I'm no expert, but I think you should elevate the lamp just an inch or two above the top so he doesn't burn himself by accident.
