Hey you got those compact bulbs? if so dump that and get a florescent light because compact bulbs have been linked to blindness in some animals, better be safe than sorry on your new investment, and also i would trade that red light out for a white light bulb since jacksons do not require to much heat. other than that looks great :D

Hmmm, WEll, he is a jackson xantholophus. he appears to be older then 5weeks if you ask me, but still rather small, probably 2 1/2 3 months is more like it, but that is a very tough age for young jacksons pay close attention to him, they are difficult babies to bring up.

as for that heat bulb, i don't think you need that one, at least not a red one and not one so high in wattage, *depending were you are*....

definatly switch your bulbs, you are using compacts, those have been linked to eye problems such as blindness, allthough, that is a compact, i don't know if its the CFL spiral compacts, but for safety reasons it'd be best to switch.

high temps are dangerous for xanth neonates, anything above 82 is questionable , and a cfl ,in any wattage, at any temp, will cook them neonates, once they get in the habit of crawling on the cage wire, he will end up on top, right under the bulb, your enviroment is too dry, jacksons are montanes, and require a cooler, moister enviroment than many other chams.
