most jacksons have a sweeheart disposition compared to most other chams, their care isnt really that much different from panthers or vieleds, except they are a little more sensitive to lighting and supplementation issues. they get dehydrated easier than panthers or veileds or veileds, so a little extra humidity might be in order as well, they also like cooler temps,(xanths in captivity will often seek out more heat than is good for them if available) the maximum temp i offer my xanths is 84* they also like a substantial nightime drop in temps, and they are much more comfortable, if their basking spot is above eye level. i am sure that if you buy one, cf member titan will fill you in on the specific care routine that his chams are used to.
im relatively sure he would rather have you ask questions than be unable to care for them. the ambient temp is going to be what it is going to be, since it will closely follow room temp, but it would be good to keep it below 78* if you can. i limit the uva basking temp to 84*. to take a lot of the guess work out of it, i would recomend a simple linear (long straight tube) reptisun 5.0 for uvb, and a simple 25-40 watt incandescent regular house bulb for uva. my care conditions may be different than what cf member titans chams are used to, so he would be a more appropriate, person to fill you in on gutloading, supplementation etc. i will say one thing in closing, cham care requirements can be complex, and if you want to keep your chams healthy long term, you will need to educate yourself in depth from a #of sources, and not just base all of your care requirements on just what one person (including titan or me), one website or care sheet provides. good luck and welcome to the jacksons and cham community. jmoHe's definitely helped me out a lot already - just didn't want to bug him with too many questions!
Is an ambient temperature of about 75 too warm for them? And how about basking - is that included in your 84 range?

That's awesome to hear! Titan did mention in his ad that his guys are pretty friendly
Olimpia - You mentioned care sheets... any good ones you know of for Jackson's? I've done a few different searches but haven't been able to find any that weren't for panthers or veileds!![]()
remember care sheets should be used as a general guidline only.http://www.skypoint.com/members/mikefry/jacksons.pdf http://www.jacksonschameleoncaresheet.com/ http://exoticpets.about.com/od/chameleons/p/jacksoncham.htm http://chamownersweb.net/husbandry/care_sheet_jacksons.htm http://www.petco.com/caresheets/lizards/Chameleon_Jacksons.pdf http://www.reptilepets.co.za/rp451040.htm http://herphangout.com/caresheet.php?sheet=4 http://www.reptileguru.com/pdf/Jackson Chameleon.pdf http://www.calzoo.com/html/jacksonschameleons.html http://www.lizardsarchive.com/care-sheets/jacksons-chameleon.phphttp://www.grizzlyrun.com/Pets/Rept...cksons_Chameleon_Care_Information/Default.htm http://www.alexhuereptiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8376 i would avoid the use of substrate regardless of what any of them recomend. jmocham care requirements can be complex, and if you want to keep your chams healthy long term, you will need to educate yourself in depth from a #of sources, and not just base all of your care requirements on just what one person (including titan or me), one website or care sheet provides.
