Jacksons -Horribly swollen eye HELP PLEASE :(

Hello my chameleon is about 9 months old now, and hes had rot mouth but fully recovered from it a month ago or so, now his eye has been gradually been getting more swollen everyday. He can still open it ok though. I dont know what to do, and im really worried. i don't really have the money to afford another vet visit right now, advice please!
He is also eating fine and drinking fine, except i do see him miss his crickets occasionally since he can not see well.

If the eye stays swollen like that, it could be an infection, likely something not completely taken care of from his mouth infection last month. His lip looks puffy on that side, too, so the infection may have reoccurred. My recommendation is a vet visit ASAP. Unless you are experienced in reptile care, you are not going to be able to treat this at home. Don't wait. If you can't afford the visit, work out a payment plan with the vet. If it goes untreated, it will get very serious and maybe even fatal.

At the top of the Health Forum is a questionnaire called "How to ask for help". Fill this out with as much detail as you can, and we can maybe help you with his care.

On top of the eye issue he appears to be developing a temporal gland infection as well. He needs to see a vet and get medications.

Agree with all of the above. Maybe there is someone you can borrow money from?. Part of owning pets is vet care when needed. I know we all fall on hard times or short of money at one time or another. It is not fair to let an animal suffer though or die because we let something go untreated. Also, like the others said, explain the situation to your vet and see if he will let you make some installment payments.

Depending on the service it can be interest free for 6 months- I've never used it but my daughter has - I haven't had any big emergencies - She actually got it when she got her cat but used it for dental work that wasn't covered completely by her insurance -

Alright thank you so much for the advice guys, im going to take him to the vet and get him back on the antibiotics when they open monday, i'll post back to update on his health

Infections can recur weeks or months after thinking it's gone.
Since he already had mouth rot, it's possible it moved to his eye.

Your vet should be able to tell if it's the infection, or something in his eye
causing inflammation (which could also become infected).

Seems all chams are prone to infections
