Jackson's Cham Can't get Crickets, Help!!

I've just transferred my Jackson's chameleon, Cornelius, to a new and much larger enclosure. I altered a birdcage so the bottom of the cage is a removable tray (photo included) and the crickets tend to work their way down there or just fall off of the ficus I have, and hang out down there.

I've been trying to carefully put them above him so he has access to them but most of the time they just fall off of the plant into the bottom and never come back up. I've put things like vines and paper towels to help them get up but they just don't even come back up.

I'm treating him for stomatitis right now and it's really important that he eat enough, does anyone have any ideas to help my set up/get the crickets to him. Please help!!

Cup feeding.

it lets him eat the bugs, but doesn't let the bugs out.

also, please only make one thread, as it can get confusing for the other members.

Well only one person answered and it got more urgent than when I posted the first post so I wanted to change the title. Maybe you can just do that within the first post, I'm not very blog/forum saavy.

Could you explain cup feeding?

I just put up a new thread on how to make a DIY Cricket Feeder. It is really easy to make with easy to get household stuff. Just click the link below, I have provided all the steps and photos required.

I know how stressful it is when you know your chameleon is not eating. So this could be a short term or long term solution for ya.

I hope it all works out for you and your chameleon. Good luck and let me know how ya go!
