Jackson's Broken Horn

I noticed today Diablo's horn at the tip looked broke at first I thought it was a piece of skin. But I took him out of his enclosure and confirmed it is a tiny break at the end. No Idea how he did it. It does not seem to bother him at all. Suggestions ? I am going to leave the size of the pic big so you can zoom in on it.

i believe that won't harm him at all because i've seen other jacksons with missing horns or broken horns with no problem. but i'm not 100% sure

I used to have Jackson' in Hawaii. I had one male who broke his horn the first day we got him. We had a homemade cage and he had wedged it, somehow, between the net siding and the wood. He broke it off and lived for many many years afterwards, just fine and dandy (and yes, we did fix the cage). Just keep an eye on it and make sure it heals up fine. If there are any signs of infection, take him to the vet.

ooops....looks like he tried to stick his nose where it didn't belong....I agree, it shouldn't be a problem. If it were closer to the base I would be more concerned.

That said, if he keeps breaking horns, it's possible there's a dietary problem, so if it happens again soon, you might want to solicit the advise of the Jackson's experts here.
